adventures in consciousness Reviews
Quite an adventureThe author takes you into the world of what it is like to be in a camp for those that study the metaphysical world. The book is well written and the author describes the situation so well that you believe that you are there.
Framed as vignettes about the experiences of delving deep into the subconscious, to the point of having out of body episodes, levitating and becoming ever so much more fully aware of oneself and psyche, Adventures in Consciousness is nothing more than an educational and marketing document for the Monroe Institute. It’s the stuff of gurus, selling their wares to an unsuspecting public audience, in the hopes of recruiting more followers. It’s the type of book that preys on the lonely and those who are hurting and in need of healing, attempting to draw them in and promise them a future free of pain. My full review is long, because I had a whole lot more to say about this book. Please read my full review here:http://mjjoachim.blogspot.com/2016/04...
From the Amazon Kindle reviews:“I really enjoyed it! It was so fun and accessible and at the same time compelling in that it really got me an inside sense of altered states and possibilities. I really want to go to the Monroe Institute now. Reading about her experiences makes it hard for me to have to wait! I liked her writing style---and she's funny to boot. A sense of humor is paramount, as they say.” --Eve"It's a good introduction [to the Monroe Institute] from a personal experience." --K. Kilker
