This book is steamy but over-the-top at the same time. The relationship between Cade and Kyle started when they were sixteen, and Cade hadn't come out of the closet yet. It's ridiculously unbelievable to see someone you love being bullied and you intended not to do anything about it even though those assholes are your best friends. It sure feels bad for everyone to let this happen. The pornographic scenes are plenty and can be found in EVERY chapter, much less emphasize their relationship. The only thing I get from this book is sex, SEX everywhere I wanted to choke. Dom/sub things kinda worked for me sometimes, but not all of them. The plot seems interesting enough for me to finish this book eventually. Cade is HAWT, albeit overly dominant for little poor Kyle.

Absolutely no mention in the blurb that this is dom/sub. Cade is like some kind of leather daddy werewolf who just manhandles and sexually uses poor Kyle. He is constantly pushing him to his knees and forcing him to deepthroat. When he first meets Kyle in the gym he manipulated him in order to teabag him on the weight bench. Not my thing at all. Not the sweet kind of thing that I expected from the description.

Hmmm...not quite sure that I liked this book. It just seemed a bit off to me. Not sure I believed the love between Cade and Kyle. The sex was very descriptive. Sometimes hot and sometimes it made me uncomfortable. There was also the Dom/sub type theme in it. Would I recommend? Probably not. But if you have kindle unlimited, it's "free", give it a try if it tickles your fancy.

Within the first 10 pages (or less?) I almost deleted this from my shelves or moved it to reading later.... and here's whyCade and Kyle are mates.. we know this cus the blurb TELLS us this.. But their first run in after school at the gym is less than ideal. Cade to be blunt, is an asshole. He comes across as a dominating duche bag treating his 'mate' as a disposable hole. You just don't treat your MATE like that.. like they are less than dirt and that is MY impression. While Cade doesn't fully redeem his shitty acting habit towards digrading like behavior with Kyle it DOES improve. Get more of an idea that he actually does CARE (major lack at the beginning feeling that particular) about Kyle. The whole background on changing Kyle and the consequences... felt a little too, make something up to add to entertainment.. well it IS a book but still...And the whole Mark thing? while it is eventually given its due with answers.. the answers didn't feel like they should match the actions leading up to them..So, I'm actually surprised to have made it through enough to actually WANT to see where it was going but still, in retrospect I kind of wish I had just skipped it.2.5

Quick overview: Kyle sees Cade in gym, lusts after him, Cade approaches Kyle, gets down and dirty with "me alpha, you my bitch" stuff, drama unfolds, end of story.Cade and Kyle knew each other in high school but Cade was popular, Kyle was not. Kyle was "terrorized" by Cade's friends but we never really know how, except with vague remarks about putting him, swirlies and locker lock ups. Cade was also not out. He knew back then that Kyle was his mate but was not ready for the implications of being gay and having a human mate. The book is a definite case of instalove. It moves really fast into claiming and omega territory. Kyle is a human and the implications of that are slowly brought to light. Drama with family, friends and alliances make up the rest of the book. Then at the end, it simply skips over a major part that had Cade frustrated throughout the book. Just moved right on to after the events and let the reader know that Kyle dos not change much. Major let down. Interesting read but not stellar by any means

2.5 i think if we saw more time with Cade showing his love for Kyle i would have liked it more. i understand he is a dominant and that works for Kyle but i just didnt like the way their relationship started.

Well, not bad. But I feel like Cade is a bit unfit to be an Alpha, or maybe I am too judging from the stereotypes of Alpha. He seems rather hot-headed and irrational, didn't think about the consequences of turning a human into an omega, and even worse, without the consent of Kyle. The fact that Kyle got bullied by Cade's best friends and Cade knew nothing about it, is unbelievable. There are some flaws in the characters, but overall I enjoy reading it.I like Cade's father, a rational and calm figure, who explains everything about the werewolf to Kyle, such as heat, obedience etc. I like everyone else who tries to warn Cade for not telling Kyle the truth to be an omega, and takes care of Kyle. Cade respects Kyle, and I like that too. It is easy to read, despite I didn't like Cade a lot. Their sex is hot, though.

Werewolf Eats Young Man....Okay, not reallly... Actually they fell in love, overcame obstacles, (like the top's jerk friends, a succubus and some old-fashioned bear shifters) , to live happily ever after in tight leather pants.. I read this m/m romance years ago and always remembered the wonderful plot and great characters. Now that I found this book again I hope I never lose it. There is a lot of sex in this book which normally I could live without in my romances but I guess that's like pizza without cheese. ;)

D.J Heart has a way of making characters extremely unattractive. Oh, they're "bulging with muscles", but they're complete assholes. Well, at least the so called love interest is. Always expect a bully. You can see how easy it is to love that, affection is practically pouring off them. Oh, and that was sarcasm. The book is one whole sexual encounter being forced on Kyle. Endless shaming. You might feel sick like I did. This book will only be enjoyable to people who already have stockholms syndrome.

These guys were so cute!Well, Kyle was cute and Cade was hot! Loved their romance! There was so much kink, but it was good, dirty kink. I wanted an alpha and a sub and I definitely got that with this one. Fantastic read all through.

Going by my previous experience with this author, I should have known what I was getting into even before I started but, honestly, much like in my previous experience, I really liked the premise. In fact, I liked it so much that I went in ready to enjoy the hell out of this. Instead, I was left disappointed. Again. Not only did the story go completely sideways right from the start, some of the dialog was just so utterly ridiculous that I found myself giggling. I mean, how could I not with gems like this: "Look at that, bitch. I can fucking see my meat in your throat. You're throat is bulging with my cock!" - Cade Forrest, Loc 155 of 3307, Kindle Fire (typo intact) My expression after reading that:Then:I just -- I'm sorry, I'm sure some people find that hot or sexy or whatever but for me, it was just hilariously horrible.Giggles aside, however, and much like the 'Omega' serial, this entire story could have been so much better than it was, if only the author would have taken the time for it. I mean, if Heart had taken the time, I think I wouldn't have spent so much time fantasizing about punching Cade in the nuts or wishing this would turn into some sort of revenge fantasy where Kyle burns the whole fucking pack to the ground in an epic end scene because fuck those assholes and Cade for being a shitty Alpha and trying to brush a murder attempt under the rug. Seriously, I'm not even joking. Kyle almost gets strangled to death by one of Cade's friends and he's like "he was just playing around". Really, dude? Really?Anyway, though, yeah, I don't know why I do this to myself. Heart obviously has the kind of ideas that I love to read about but has yet to execute them in a way that I enjoy and I'm not sure why I keep going back. I'm too optimistic, I guess.

This was poor. Poor writing and poor characters. I give this 1 star just for some of the sex scenes but that's it. Cade ( werewolf MC) was a complete douche. I felt immensely sorry for Kyle ( human Mc) getting forced into essentially getting teabagged publicly at the gym...Then forced into the pack and the role of the Omega all whilst Cade wasn't informative or explanatory. This novel is 89% sex. There was certain elements I liked, Cade being in love with Kyle since he was 16, But again there was little to no explanation on those events or why Kyle was in the gym with Cade that meeting. It felt poorly written....I was tempted to DNF several times but as it was so short I sky rocked through it.Also there is the most cringe worthy scene involving Kyle and being on heat. He is literally fisting himself in the most embarrassingly way I had to put the kindle down. Infront of people... I just cant....

3.5 starsThe first section reads like heated, somewhat harder-core erotic stories (e.g. Nifty), with a little bit of hard Domination theme that sizzles for me rather nicely. While this isn't as harsh as the author's slave-like/non-consensual "The Billionaire's Puppy" series, it is rougher than the domination found in most Alpha "romantic erotica" stories. Still, it very much works for me because of Cade's reactions - his reactions indicate to me that he finds his place/pleasure/fit under Kyle's dominating/controlling (and sometimes demeaning) hand. Therefore, it does not come across as non-consensual to me (even if readers with a more romantic erotica bent will find the demeaning aspect to be non-consensual). The remainder of the story includes a decent amount of character and a bit of a plot, an interesting-enough exploration of a "straight" and tough Jock and a gay accountant, with a bit of intrigue surrounding an Alpha wolf/submissive-ish human pairing and paranormal politics. I would love to read a sequel with the wolves, and/or see more exploration of the succubi/incubi characters.

Very interesting book. Cade, alpha, has known for years that Kyle was his mate, but waited until they were older to approach him. Kyle unaware that he was starting a relationship with a shifter, was more than happy to be with his high school crush. Cade's friends hates Kyle and made sure Kyle was aware of that fact. I really didn't care for what Kyle was willing to do for the pact. It seems unnecessary. Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

I like the incubus/succubus aspect. It was different. Otherwise the same DJ Heart.

Just OK. There were parts that I really enjoyed and others that I really didn't.
