I have to be honest, I haven’t read much gay erotic fiction, but when the author wanted some reviewers to read and review it, I was willing to give it a go. The only other gay erotica I’ve read was as a result of a couple of my husband’s Navy mates playing a prank on him, thinking they were sending it to his Kindle, only to later discover they had sent it to mine instead (Oh, the laughs we all had). I’m not one to reject the opportunity to read a free book, so I gave them a go. Unfortunately, they were a bit too cheesy for my reading tastes. However, I have confidence in this author’s writing, having thoroughly enjoyed reading her book, Defaced, under her other author name Marissa Farrar, so I hoped this would be much better than previous gay erotica I had read, and I’m pleased to report it was. I'm by no means an expert in this genre, but I actually really enjoyed this story.Breaking the Marine is a short novella, so I estimate it will take about an hour to an hour and a half, depending on how fast you read. I enjoyed the overall military storyline, and found myself liking the two main characters, Brandon and Will, and I don’t just mean for their toned bodies, “Deep blue eyes, fringed with dark lashes” and tattoos, although, that was a bonus. They were believable characters with genuine attraction towards each other. The sex scenes were also well written and realistic. Despite being quite short, I felt it had quite a good level of character development and was able to make me feel emotional about their lives and situation.Okay, so I won’t recommend this to straight men, as I doubt it’s likely to be your thing. However, I recommend it to anyone else who enjoys erotic fiction, especially if you have an appreciation for strong, hot and horny men in military uniform.Thank you to the author, M.K. Elliott, for a copy of this novella, in exchange for an honest review.

I have read lots of books by this author which are written under Marissa Farrar and am a big fan, I have never read any of her erotica books and have never read a gay erotica novel in my life.I have to say when the author approached me to read and review a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, I was slightly dubious as I felt it was out of my comfort zone but as I like to try new genres before writing them off, I thought I would give it a go.Brandon and Will, from the descriptions sound like they are pretty hot guys. I mean being in the marines isn’t easy and all the training they have to do leaves them pretty taut and muscular. I know they would certainly catch my eye! With the storyline being set around the marines, you certainly felt the physical exhaustion that Brandon and his fellow recruits had to endure after the intense training. The romance aspect of it was slightly different to the normal romance novels I read, apart from the obvious that the two love interests are male. The intensity of feelings between the two men very much comes through and it certainly makes for some intense reading.Breaking The Marine is a relatively short novella that didn’t take me long to read at all. The author manages to fit in a strong storyline with plenty of parts that get you a bit ‘hot under the collar’. If you like manly men you will certainly enjoy reading about Brandon and Will.Whilst this isn’t a genre I would probably read much of, I have to say reading Breaking The Marine was surprisingly enjoyable and whether you are straight or gay, if you like erotica novels, then you will certainly enjoy this book.

Another fabulous steaming hot read from Marissa.I received this direct from the author in exchange for an honest review.Woo Whee.... I'm just flapping my hands aimlessly around my red face, desperately needing to cool off.Wow talk about smoking hot Horney men in uniform!I have read a lot of marissa's books mostly her paranormal romance side though, Hell I never new she had this hot sexy erotic side! And boy does she deliver. This is a brilliant short read, the size of a Novella, it took me roughly an hour from start to finish, but depends on how fast you read.I love will and Brandon I must admit it's the first Gay Romance i have encountered in a book, but this was a brilliant short story. The relationship between the two men is sizzling and so intense.Marissa has written then extremely well, fabulous character development considering it's such a short story.I would recommend this 100% especially to those of you who would normally skim over a genre like this or Gay Erotica, I think you will be surprised.

The two men in this short novella, Brandon and Will are hot and sexy, one with interesting sounding tattoos and both not unexpectedly have really fit bodies. They also have what feels like a real attraction to each other and the story is about their mutual struggle to manage their attraction when they find themselves in an unexpected situation.I am not always a fan of short stories as too often they are too rushed and too shallow but the author has avoided these pitfalls and has given depth and interest, and a real sense of the emotion, the personality, and for me the horrors of communal living in a barracks. The sex scenes were well written genuinely erotic and emotionally charged. Exactly what you want in erotic stories. I feel that this could have been even better in a longer story but that is probably my own bias and if you want something a bit out of the norm, quick to read (not much more than an hour) and very enjoyable this would be a really good choice. Many thanks to the author for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

I love Brandon and Will. Their sexual tension was delicious and spiced up the well done story. I always enjoy a bit of a power dynamic which is what happens here between a drill instructor and his recruit. And seriously, there's not much hotter than two strong, muscled alphas hot for each other.

can now say I have read all of Marissa Farrars books as Marissa Fararr and MK Elliott, she is my favorite author. I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review. This is not a book that I would have chosen to read, but as Marissa wrote it I decided I was willing to give it a go. Even though this was a very short read it had a very strong story line and kept me "very hot under the collar" from start to finish. That was one erotic read.Brandon and Will are pretty hot guys from what we read, no wonder they fell for each other. Not your normal everyday romance novel but two guys still know how to love up a storm together. Well done Marissa. This book is really well worth a read, something very different.

Bought this, this morning, started it this afternoon and that put paid to my house work. A compelling read in one sitting erotic novel with more meat on its bones than a lot of full length novels. M K Elliot has the gift of writing naughty with a great storyline and characterization that feels fleshed out and believable. I've previously read some of this authors fantasy books but was thrilled to find she wrote as MK Elliot in this genre. I will definitely be seeking o

First read this book when it was part of the Brit Boys on Boys set.A knee trembler in the local pub car park does not normally end in a lasting relationship. Having one last fling with a perfect stranger before joining the Marines for Basic Training was meant to be it for Brandon. What is a man to do when his perfect stranger turns out to be your new Drill Instructor. ......A fab wee read!

As expected by this author, this is a very well written book. The characters are well developed and pull you into the story. I do warn you that it's quite steamy, so if that's not your cup of tea I don't recommend it. If you are up for some very sexy scenes however, I highly recommend giving this book a read!!!
